Since 2006 we have been running a successful evening class in Haverfordwest to introduce prospective beekeepers to the craft. The course took place over eight separate sessions of two hours each and provided an introduction to beekeeping including a natural history of the honeybee, an illustrated history of beekeeping and video clips of practical beekeeping.
This course became so popular and with limited trainers available to run it for the course we were unable to meet demand from new beekeepers.
To enable us to train more people we have developed a one day course to cover the essentials for those new to beekeeping.
The first of these one day courses is taking place on from 9.30 am. to 4.30 pm on Saturday April 17th at the Picton Centre, Freemans Way, Haverfordwest, SA61 1TP, on the County Hall site.
Cost is £35 per person plus £15 per household to join the Association if not already a member.
Fee includes handouts to take away and light refreshments morning and afternoon. Please provide your own lunch.
Download the pdf booking form here for April 17th. Print it and send with your payment as explained on the form.
Further courses will be announced shortly and forms will be available here.
